Rose day cream

In the morning, cleanse and tone the skin. When the skin is still damp, apply the Wild rose day cream to the face, neck and uper chest area. Use the press-and-roll technique. This product is suitable as a makeup base.For matures skins, apply the Eye contour cream in addition. For extra winter protection, add a small amount of Wild rose oil serum.

In the evening, we recommend a non-oily product such as our Rose and Hippophae serum or the Hippophea clarifying serum. Use a gentle exfoliating product such as our Purifying clay and Labrador tea mask or our Rose and honey exfoliating mask once or twice a week.

Botanical extracts of over 36 medicinal plants partly originating from Gaspesie, including :

- wild rose seed oils and butters (or rosehip) and raspberry seeds, which moisturize the skin ;

- wild rose berries and hippophea, rich in powerful antioxidants as well as vitamins A and C ;

- comfrey, whose allantoin promotes cell regeneration ;

- algea and oats, help to maintain the skin's elasticity ;

- marshmallow and its natural mucilages to maintain the skin highly hydrated ;

- and ax and pink concrete damask, creates a silky finish and a delicate fragrance to the skin.

Other natural extracts have been tested in the laboratory and recognized for their anti-aging properties:

- Knotweed and its flavonoids reduce the damage caused by sun damage. This plant firms the skin, strengthens it and reduces the appearance of wrinkles;

- Fruit acids and their moisturizing and exfoliating properties contribute to skin cell renewal. They stimulate the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans, the large molecules forming the skin's supporting matrix, including collagen. In addition, fruit acids promote the elimination of excess sebum and dead cells, reduce wrinkles and hyperpigmentation, and restores the radiance in the complexion;

- Larch bark extract contains antioxidant and brightening properties. Studies show that it promotes collagen synthesis. It reduces hyperpigmentation and restores radiance to the complexion;

- Hyaluronic acids of different molecular weights are one of the most effective moisturizing agents. They participate in the hydration and cohesion of tissues by filling the intercellular spaces. Because they are easily absorbed by the skin, smaller molecules have greater penetrating power. Hyaluronic acids can then fill in wrinkles which makes the skin soft and supple;

Emollient medicinal plants are rich in polysaccharides or mucilages. These long-chain carbohydrates grow thick and viscous when in contact with water. The regenerative ingredients of comfrey such as allantoin, tannins and rosmarinic acid  all contribute in accelerating the natural renewal of cells and stimulating the growth of new tissues.

Allantoin is a very popular substance in the cosmetic and medical area. It is used in many creams to help treat a variety of skin disorders as well as cuts and burns.

Allantoin also has a keratinolytic action : it softens the keratin, a tough and inflexible protein of the outer layer of the skin. Allantoin therefore helps the skin’s water retention. The skin becomes softer and better hydrated. By stimulating the exfoliation of the superficial cell layer, keratinolytics also helps in smoothening the skin.

The comfrey extracts we use come from the roots we harvest in our organic gardens located in Gaspésie following a biodynamic inspiration.

Rich in polysaccharides (moisturizing sugars), polyphenols (natural antioxidants) and remineralizing trace elements (iodine, iron, magnesium, calcium), algae are known and widely used in cosmetics. They also contain beta-carotenes (natural antioxidants) with complexion lightening effects. Alginates are also present in brown algae (especially Kombu). They have anti-inflammatory properties (at the joints) and give a silky finish to the skin.

Algae is effective in fighting against skin aging. They stimulate blood microcirculation, promote firmness and elasticity of the skin. They promote weight loss. They help maintain hydration and soothe irritated or acne-prone skin.

Our active ingredient is made from seaweed harvested by hand in an eco-responsible manner in Gaspésie, Bas-St-Laurent and the Maritimes by Un Océan de Saveurs .

The seaweed mixture we use may include: Ulva sp. (sea lettuce) , Saccharina latissima (royal kombu) , Palmaria palmata(dulse).
